Holy Trinity School, a Catholic elementary school in the Jesuit Tradition, is seeking an Elementary and Middle School Librarian to join our faculty for the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic, high-energy educational team and will have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. In this role, the librarian supports students in becoming thoughtful readers, ethical researchers, and lifelong learners.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain, develop, and curate a diverse and inclusive library collection
Foster a love of reading through engaging read-alouds and library lessons for students ages 4–11, nurturing wonder, reflection, and joy in reading
Design and lead library instruction that supports critical thinking and reflection, encouraging students to ask meaningful questions and make connections across disciplines for grades PreK-8
Introduce, teach, and maintain age-appropriate research tools and practices for students in grades 4–8, emphasizing critical thinking, ethical use of information, and digital citizenship
Collaborate with faculty to integrate library resources into classroom instruction and interdisciplinary projects
Promote habits of reflection, discernment, and responsibility in students’ use of information and media
Organize, catalog, and maintain library systems and materials to ensure accessibility and effective use
Create an engaging library environment where all students are where all students are welcome
Qualifications and Position details
Degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
Passion for children’s and young adult literature, literacy development, and research instruction
Ability to collaborate joyfully and effectively in a mission-driven school community
Full-time, 10 month position
Compensation begins at $52,000 annually and is then commensurate with experienceItem description
