Art Education, Lower School
Art Mission at HTS:
The purpose of the visual arts department is to
equip students with the tools to think creatively, express their feelings, and
share artistically with others.
Art Teacher’s Biography:
This will be my seventh year teaching art, and I’m so excited to return to the Holy Trinity
community! I have always felt that finding ways for kids to express themselves
artistically to be a pure joy. I grew up in the area, and attended Quince
Orchard High School in Gaithersburg. It was there that I realized that I had a passion for the arts. I went on to attend West Virginia University where I studied visual arts,
and focused on painting. I received my BFA in Art Education (K-12) and Visual
Arts in 2005. Currently, I’m working towards finishing my masters at Hood
College in Educational Administration in Elementary Schools. I hope to receive
my MS in 2012. I am very anxious to get to know everybody at Holy Trinity,
and hope to find ways for every child to find their inner artist!
