General Homework Policy:

The purpose of homework in the 3rd grade is to practice and expand skills independently. It is assigned on a regular basis, and is collected, corrected and returned in the next Tuesday Folder. The expectation is a total of 45 minutes of total homework and an additional 20 minutes of independent reading. ***Please make a note whenever homework is completed with assistance as this will let us know that further in-class review is needed.

Students are expected to write all assignments in their homework planners. Time is allotted during class for this purpose. Assignments are expected to be completed neatly and turned in on the due date. Students record all missing homework in the Homework Log in the classroom and they are responsible for completing the work within 24 hours.

***Homework should NOT be stressful or keep a student up late. Please keep me informed of any major issues or difficulties with your child completing the homework.
