Applying to HTS

Suggested Procedure to Follow

Download application from the Admissions Forms page.  Complete and submit the application with a $60.00 fee.  This form is dated upon receipt.  HTS accepts applications throughout the year; however, an application received after February 1st for the following academic year will be processed on a space-available basis. 

Visit the school for a regularly scheduled Open House during the first semester.  Please look at Admissions Dates & Deadlines page and the Main Calendar page for dates and times.  HTS does not have individual tours.  The Principal and the Director of Admissions will be available to answer questions.  Eighth grade students will be your school tour guides. 

Submit formal transcripts and recommendations.  Forms are available on the Admissions Forms page.  Current grades, standardized tests, and current teacher and principal recommendations must be received by February 15, but not before the end of the first grading period of the current academic year.  Applications will not be reviewed unless ALL requested information has been received. 

Schedule a required visit or testing date after the HTS informational letter is received.   The letters with specific information for visits and testing will be sent out to parents no later than the first week of February.  An admissions test is required for grades 2-8.  The HTS admissions test is scheduled for a date in February.  A visit is required for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade.  The visits are scheduled for the month of February.  This is also the only opportunity for the students to visit the school while in session.

 

 
Acceptances are mailed in mid-March and are determined by available space and certain criteria.
