Welcome From the Principal

Welcome to Holy Trinity School.  Within this website you will find information about who we are and what we believe. As a central ministry of Holy Trinity Parish, the school passes on Catholic teaching to the next generation and is committed to the Jesuit traditions of educational excellence, the service of faith, and the promotion of justice.

Holy Trinity School, the oldest elementary school in the District of Columbia, offers a dynamic learning environment. The philosophy of St. Ignatius, and the Society of Jesus that he founded, is integrated into the mission of HTS. Our school’s theme for 2011-2012 is the Latin term, Magis, which means not do more, but to do what we do better. It informs us that seeking the greater glory of God means more than working harder or longer. It reminds us to be more loving and generous in what we do for Christ, and therefore others.

Located in historic Georgetown, Holy Trinity School draws students from Virginia and Maryland, as well as the District of Columbia. HTS has a diverse student body and accepts students of all races, cultures, and religions. With a highly qualified faculty, Holy Trinity offers an academic program that challenges students to achieve their full potential. HTS supports students in their development as individuals who are open to growth, intellectually accomplished, religious, loving, and committed to doing justice. Holy Trinity has a long history of graduates who are well prepared to enter the parochial and private high schools in the DC metropolitan area.

Thank you for visiting the Holy Trinity School website. If you would like further information, please contact Ms. Kim Crismali, the Director of Admissions. We look forward to hearing from you and sharing more about the exceptional education that can be found at Holy Trinity School.

Sincerely,

D. Keith Darr, M.Ed.,Ed.S.
