making is one of our usual projects. This year, we studied the human face for its own sake, independently from our own features. |

| We
wanted the faces to show character and expression. Ms. Celano gave us
a list of questions as an aide in our making up the individual stories
of the people whose faces we were drawing. |

story made up the border of our compositions.
