To begin our year, as we gathered
for prayer in religion class, we reviewed Jesus' saying to us from Matthew 18: 19-20: |
"Again I tell you, if two of you join your voices on earth to pray for anything whatever, it shall be granted you by my Father in heaven. Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in their midst." |

For their first art project 4th graders worked on
a drawing about a time in the summer when they felt they had "gathered"
with friends or family. They concentrated on their compositions and how
to make them more interesting with the use of black, medium grays and
white. |
