The object is to increase eye-hand coordination. You have to surrender unto discipline, and this is very hard for some students.

This project made us laugh together.

.
Blind contours exercise the communication between your eyes, your brain and your hands. All made several tries, many on the same piece of paper.
.
.
.
Your eyes look slowly and intensely at each feature of your face. The eyes send the brain a message and ask it to relay the message to the hand. The hand needs to move in a certain way to draw what the eye is looking at.
.
To cooperate in this process, you have to be settled and quiet.
Chatting or any other distractions will only get in the way of the continuous stream of messages between the eyes, the brain and the hand.
