FATHER GABRIEL COMES FROM UGANDA
TO VISIT US!!!

PAGE 1

Fifth graders truly awaited their visitor with great anticipation.
They prepared their room, their presents and food treats.
They were not disappointed!
We listened very carefully because the cadence of his speech is new to us and it was fun to listen carefully to be able understand him.
We got used to it very fast.
He brought special greetings from one of the patients from the Eye Hospital who benefited from the funds we raised with our Christmas Card Project.

Dear Friends,
I am called Betty; 13 years old. Greetings to you all.
I have three brothers younger than me.
My father died, and it’s my mother who looks after us.

I thank you very much for helping me through Father Gabriel.
I got sunglasses and I am able to see something.
Now I am going back to school, which I missed when I was being treated.

Thank you very much.
Yours in Christ,
Betty

Father Gabriel told us he had paid for her tuition with our moneys -
we liked that!

Father Gabriel had no trouble keeping our attention. He told us stories about the Eye Hospital and The Saint James Boarding School for Boys.
