This week's focus: Exterior Angles and Equations involving Perimeter, then Area

Read pp. 388 - 389 on Congruence, then complete pp. 390 - 391, #'s 8 to 19 ALL
and
p. 393 - 394 to better understand Transformations.
If you can, complete #'s 8, 9 & 10 on p. 394 on graph paper

No school in observance of Veterans' Day

#'s 14 to 25

Now that we talked about it today, please try again to complete #'s 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 & 10 on p. 394 on graph paper. (Those that already did 8, 9 & 10 can just do the first three.) If you need graph paper, go to the weblink below and print some.

Continue with Transformation on graph paper.

Rate-Time-Distance problems, complete p. 169 – 171, odd numbers from 1 to 15

No school in observance of Veterans' Day

Rectangles within rectangles - Area problems - read p. 172 and complete #'s 2, 4, 6, 7 & 8 on pp. 173-174.

Clean up Rate-Time-Distance and Area problems - move on to Circle Areas

Homework is based on the next lesson - but there is NO NEW material. Please complete the multiples of 3 from 3 to 15.

6th Math Notes:

Homework task - Thursday, November 13th: On scrap paper, draw a triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, decagon and dodecagon and then subdivide each of them into as many triangles as you can WITHOUT overlapping them (no crossing lines) and then use those triangles to figure out how many degrees there should be INSIDE the shape = Sum of the Degrees in ALL of the INTERIOR Angles. When you are done, look for a pattern between the number of sides & angles compared to the total interior degrees.
