ASSESSMENTS
All assessments will be graded as homework, class work or tests: each being
equally weighted. Points are allotted based on the nature of the question, multiple
choice, fill in the blank, listing and crossword puzzles are usually less than
questions; questions that requires a short answer will value less than those
who needs a description or explanation. The number of parts in the assessment
determines percentages. Any assessment below C (and in some cases I will ask
children to sign although they get a C) must be signed and returned during the
week (Spanish class time). Those students who forget to bring signed the assessment
will receive a check.
Homework for children will be once a week, so I would like parents get involved
with them so they don’t miss the date schedule to bring it back. (Normally
last class during the week).
Also I will ask your children to maintain their notebooks in good shape this
means clean and order. (No inkblots)
BOOKS and WORKBOOKS
Books and Workbooks:
This year each student will have their own book. The books are property of Holy
Trinity School and must be returned at the end of the year. If lost or damaged,
they must be replaced or paid for. Each student should cover and take special
care, so that next year the books can be reused. They will also have a workbook
that they can keep it. To facilitate corrections, they MUST use PENCIL on these
workbooks.
TEACHER – PARENT COMMUNICATION
Any kind of information I will be sending a note home. This note will be included
in the Tuesday Folders (This way the homeroom teacher will no what’s going
on with your child). Of course if you would like to know more about the Spanish
Course and how is your child doing you can also send me a note the same way
(Tuesday Folder) or by e-mail Carolina
Guerrero.
