Welcome to the Health Office
Mrs. Hill can be reached at 337-2339 ex 209 during the school day. Please feel free to call at any time.
ATTENDANCE
Please call the Health Office, 337-2339 ex 209, by 8:20am to report your child's absence or tardiness.
REPORTING CONTAGIOUS DISEASES
Parents are expected to call the Health Office if their child has: headlice, ringworm, strep, scarlet fever, pinworms, mono, impetigo or any other highly contagious disease. A note will then be sent home to that class.
REGARDING MEDICINE AT SCHOOL
For your child to take medicine at school the following procedure must be followed:
IMPORTANT: ALL
MEDICATIONS require THE MEDICATION FORM signed by the DOCTOR. This includes
OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS.
1. NON-PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION such as Tylenol, Advil, etc. require the non-prescription medication form filled out by the parent and the DOCTOR. Medicine should be sent to the Health Office in the unopened manufacturers bottle with your child’s name on it.
If your child is prone to headaches or frequently needs such over the counter analgesics I suggest you have the doctor authorize the use of such medication for the entire school year, from the starting date of school through the last day of school. You may then send in a supply that will last your child for the year.
2. Rx MEDICATIONS require the prescription medicine form filled out by the parent
and the DOCTOR. Medication must be in the original bottle from the pharmacy
with current date, with the child’s name on the label.
All medications should be taken for 24 hours at home prior to taking medication
at school.
Please note all medications must be brought to the health office by an adult.
